During the lockdown enforced by the Andrew’s government in Victoria, I found myself immersed in a unique and challenging reality. With the world outside at a standstill, I shifted my focus inward, documenting the nuances of everyday life within the confines of my home. This project captures the intimate moments that often go unnoticed, the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, the quiet solitude of a still afternoon, and the rhythm of daily routines that provide a sense of normalcy.

Photography became my lens to explore both mundane and the extraordinary aspects of life during this unprecedented time. Each image is a reflection of the emotions experienced during isolation-solitude, anxiety, hope, and connection. I sought to represent how our homes transformed into sanctuaries, workplaces, and schools, each corner filled with fragments of our lives adapting to new realities.

This body of work not only documents a unique period in history but also serves as a reminder of resilience and the human spirit. Through the photographs, I invite viewers to engage with spaces we inhabit and to recognise the beauty in the quiet moments that define our existence. In a time when we were physically distanced from one another, I hope to evoke a sense of connection and shared experience, reminding us that even in isolation, we are not alone.

Ultimately this project is a celebration of everyday life and a testament to the way we find meaning in the spaces we create, even in the most challenging of circumstances.
